Hey guys, my gtx 770 stopped working today. The computer won't boot, black screen of death...

Here is the interesting part, if I put the gpu on the x4 pci-e slot, it works just fine but it just won't work on the x16. One would think the x16 slot might be fried but... tested my 1080 on it, and it works! Also, tested the 770 on my other pc works just fine on any pci-e slot.

I have no idea what could be the issue. Internal graphics are disabled, the only weird thing though is whenever I try to set the initial display to PEG it won't save it. I save and restart but it goes back to AUTO. Not sure if that could mean anything.

Anyways, maybe someone has an idea?

specs:

I5 3570
Motherboard gigabyte Ga-b75m-d3h
16gb corsair dominator
Power supply corsair tx 650
Evga gtx 770 2gb

Already did that =/

Used compressed air to blow out any dust in the slot and an eraser to clean the gpu contacts.

Yup, it works just fine.

I could easily say it's a mobo issue since it's a cheap gigabyte one and they all usually go bad after a few years but the fact that the 1080 works on it really bothers me.
