gpu not working

my friend just built his pc everything was working fine and he updated his drivers his bios everything. was in a game and getting less then 30fps and had no idea why so he went into his bios and its not recognizing his msi rtx 2080. what could be the problem?

Looks like a MOSFET got burned inside the GPU. Send it back.

A transistor to regulate power supply.

The problem is that it says rtx on the box
