I have a n760 tf 2 gb gpu and when i oc it there are no changes in fps.I have a amd cpu ie fx 6300 and a 650 watt corsair psu and i also have a 8*1 gb kingston ram.I dont think that my processor or the psu would bottleneck the gpu performance.I play bf 4 and crysis 3 on ultra at 1080 p but still when i oc my gpy there's no change in the smoothness of the game.SO any idea whats going on.I would really appreciate your help guys.

And Deepankar You need to download and use Msi afterburner BETA version to tweak voltage. And if still not able to tweak voltage check voltage tweak settings in Msi afterburner beta version as mentioned above.
If the latest beta version doesnt helps then download Msi afterburner 3.0.0 Beta 10 version
Absolutely incorrect, Radeon. You mean to say that if I overclock my GPU and my FPS increases from 50 to 55 fps, there has been NO improvement?

Maybe you meant to say that overclocking won't necessarily make a game playable when it wasn't before on the same GPU. Also, your claim that overclocking only improves frame rates when a game is not demanding is completely ass-backwards.

hey guys what do u think about gtx n760 tf,i mean it gives 25-30 fps in crysis3 on ultra at 1080 p and smoothly playable fps in bf4 but why aint there any effect after ocing.I cant understand that shit

thank u man for replying,i mean i have 650 watt psu and i think thats sufficient for n760 plus i dont know how to increase the voltage and plus i have that afterburner version 2.3.1.though there is an option of core voltage in the afterburner but i cant change it.Do u know how to change the core voltage. what do u use to oc ur gpu.Can u help me with this one

Check your settings in Msi Afterburner beta version and enable voltage tweak option or something like that.
Then apply these settings in pic below which are most stable for Msi gtx760 and have been tested for days. You will get about 11-13% performance boost with these settings.

thank you man for the help

You can thank me by Selecting Best Answer if you like :)

Thats no problem man i'll do that but i tried what u said and....
nothing changed and the oc setting lasted only for about 3-4 mins and then crysis 3 got stuck and crashed,i think it was because i have only 650 watt psu and for that kind of setting we require more powerful psu i dunno.
Can u tell me the max oc setting for 650 watt psu:??:

650W psu is more than enough for OCing gtx 760.
Are the temp.too high when you play games at OCed settings?
Well what i have found that some gpu or cpu can be OCed to greater extent while other dont(Even when they are same).

There is one method which is quite time consuming but will give you full satisfication.

Reset your gpu settings to Stock. Now try increasing Core clock and memory clock settings by increments of 5mhz each.
Now use some gpu stress test like Furmark and see the results. If u start noticing Artifacts, blue screen etc....then its time to tweak your voltage.Tweak your voltage in small increments and then run stress test for each time u increase gpu voltage and when everything seems fine.....your are good to go

Or you can decrease your current OCed settings by small extent and see if that helps

Ever think your CPU is bottlenecking the system and your oc isn't effecting anything because the gpu isn't fully being used. you need to monitor your cpu/gpu usage and see if your gpu is even hitting 100% usage. if it's not, then an overclock isn't going to help. if your cpu usage is 100%, then your cpu is bottlenecking and it might benefit from the overclock more than the video card.

Sorry man
I dont know why i had in my mind that you have fx8320
Nevertheless there could be that your cpu is bottlenecking your gpu performance.

You can try overclocking your Cpu if you are using a good cpu cooler and not stock one

thanks for replying man,
AND my gpu usage reaches 98-99% not 100 and i dont know about my cpu usage i dunno how to moniter that while playing. So what ur saying is that i need to oc my gpu as well as cpu both,NO i dont thik u meant that .... i guess

hey,i dont know how to oc my fx 6300 plus i am lookin for a processor fan which can handle the cpu usage form 120-140 watt because after oc it'll use that much power i guess .Can u suggest something for my 6300.MY range is 20-25 $ or 1200-1500 INR
