GPU on ebay

hey there i brought a gpu thinking i could fix it, turns out im just dumb.
so this gpu i brought from ebay was listed as for parts or not working, the seller put the description as hdmi not working.
when its plugged in my monitor gets a 'no signal' thing.
Specs:
mobo-Asus h81m plus
CPU- Intel i5 4430
Gpu- 970 4gb
ram - 8 gb corsair(forgot name of it)

Not sure what you are expecting. If you bought it as non working, and it is non working, I doubt anyone here will take much time to help you try and fix it. Who knows what the previous owner(s), have done to it.

It remains broken.

How to "fix it"?
Entirely unknown, and probably not possible.

Try another output apart from hdmi, like the display port hoping it's just the ports dead and not the board
