Hello, my name is Jason and I just built my first PC.

I have an MSI RX 580 Armor and when I try to play games my on steam my GPU starts heating up and just keeps increasing in temp. I have 4 case fans two blowing air into the case and two blowing the air out. I also have the GPU fans at 100% at all times. Before I didn't.

Before the GPU at idle was high 40 c now it is at 29 c idle but it still overheats when I play games. I even took my side panel off so more air can maybe circulated and it still overheats. I also have moved it from under my desk to on top hoping maybe it will get better airflow or something and still overheats.

When I play games on an emulator I have no problem and even fortnite I don't have that much of a problem. But when I try to play pub g and Homefront 2 that is when it crashes. I tried lowering my settings but my pc still crashes.

Solution
this gpu has throttle limit set at 80°C
run msi kombustor and gpu-z render test (both at same time), gpu-z render test should be as active window
whis should max out your tdp limits on your card....let it run for some time.....if nothing wrong happens, gpu is fine
Specs:
MSI RX 580 Armor
AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Asus Prime B350-Plus
Corsair Vengeance 16 GB DDR4 3000MHZ

I also have an 80 plus gold 750w power supply from Rosewill

The case I have is an NZXT H500

My pc crashes every time I play games steam games it gets to about 74 c then it just crashes if it's not the GPU then I do not know what it is then.

Solution

Okay, I will try this tomorrow after I get back from class.

I have done everything I can and my computer works fine. Even pub g has started working. Its just Homefront 2 is the only game I have been having trouble with. So it's whatever thanks for all the suggestions.
