Question GPU showing on device manager but not displaying via hdmi

Hi there, I recently bought a gtx1060 6gb and it doesn’t show display when I connect it to hdmi but when the pc is connected via vga it is showing in the device manager with a yellow question mark on it??

Specs:
i5 4th gen
8gb ddr3 ram
600w psu
Intel S1200V3RP mobo
1tb hdd
480gb ssd

please can someone assist me as I am really frustrated 🤦🏻‍♂️

It says windows has stopped this device cause it has reported problems
