Question GPU temps above 100C ?

Hello, my RX 7900 XT reaches temps over 100c when gaming. I looked it up, and apparently the
RX 7900 XT is safe up to 110C so I thought it must be fine. But weirdly, when I checked using HWmonitor it said that I was reaching clocks of 2974 MHz even though my card is only rated for boost clocks up to 2560 MHz. I've done zero overclocking. Is this dangerous? Does anyone know what might be going on? Thanks.

Make and model of your case? Number of fans in your chassis and their orientation? Ambient room air temps?

Fractal North. 5 fans, two intakes on the front, two exhaust on top, and one exhaust on the back. My apartment thermostat is set to 20c.

What temps does your card run at why you are NOT using a game and what games are you running when the temps go that high.

Hotspot temps at idle are at around 50c. I reached 100c while playing cyberpunk 2077. I used HWinfo instead, here's a screencap after a session showing that I reached highs of 100c. Also it shows that the card pushed itself to 3122 MHz. Should I put a ceiling on the clock speed using AMD tuner to keep the temps lower?
