Hi Everyone,

I am relatively new to building PCs/PC gaming and I want to upgrade my GPU but I am a little overwhelmed with all the options. I was hoping someone might have some recommendations based off my rig. I'm not trying to spend more than $700-$800, but I am open to any suggestions as well.

Motherboard: MSI B550 Tomahawk
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX
PSU: EVGA 850 watt
GPU: MSI GTX 970 4 GB
Storage: Samsung 550 EVO

I am ultimately looking for something that can comfortably run new games at 60 FPS/1080p. I don't care too much for 4k gaming as I don't have a 4k monitor but I am hoping for an upgrade that will last me for around 5-10 years. I greatly appreciate any input you all may have!

GPU advice is pretty null and void at the moment because you can't buy them , but as to your CPU I would get at least 8 cores if it is to play decent games in 5-10 years time. 3700x or 5800x if going the Ryzen route. Then an RTX 3070, if Raytracing is poo to you a Radeon 6800 or xt when and if the ever hit MSRP. If a 3080ti ever comes out then a 3080 may also drop in price. But then again pigs can fly...right???
