I currently got a GTX 1660
and I believe its slowly dying I'm getting screen glitches with some weird lines and then patterns when I boot up my PC
I've had it for 2 years now so i am probably due a new GPU and I most likely need a new PSU too as I do have 500Watt

if u could suggest a GPU for me that would be amazing

My Budget is Around [300-650 GBP ££]

specs:
CPU: I5-9400F
Motherboard: Prime H310m-A -R2.0
memory: 16gb
PSU: 500Watt

Thanks!

During the global chip shortage gpu prices is still high, it is going down tho but to me i still think it is high, maybe you should wait for it to go down even lower.
Now when you said that theirs weird lines on your gpu, i can already tell that your gpu has artifacts and yes it is still is fixable, you can fix it with the baking method, this method has been around for a long time and it has work for me, all you need is an oven or a heat gun to fix it.
Heres how you do it https://linustechtips.com/topic/344208-how-to-fix-a-dead-graphics-card/
And if you want to buy a new gpu then what gpu would you want it to be, used or new?
And what games are you going to play at what fps?

Solution
I would start with a quality, new, PSU. I am not aware of any quality 500w units, these days. I would also bump up the wattage, to 750w, if you ever think you will get a more high end GPU, say a 6800xt, 3070 or faster. Also, quality, lower wattage units, aren't much cheaper.

Yes start with a known good power supply. The next thing after that might be replace thermal paste. If the 1660 is ok, I think they’ve been selling on eBay for 400-500. So it might be worth selling it while the value is high then buying another card. What I’m doing with my 1070 that is working. Yes prices are high but if you’ve got a good card to sell, then that can help offset the cost.
