Question GPU upgrading + choices

I'm currently on an R9 390 but looking to buy a 1440p 144hz monitor and I think it would struggle (please correct me if i'm wrong!)

My choices are:
GTX 1070 ($318)
Vega 56 ($330)
RTX 2060 ($357)

the next level up 1070ti etc are all $100+ more expensive.

My questions are 1) is it even worth the upgrade? 2) if so which of these cards would you choose?

all are good choices but you can also crossfire with cheaper amd cards

My board can't crossfire and older AMD cards are a bit power hungry. Thanks though. Anyone else have an opinion?

All three choices are pretty close in performance...
If power consumption is a concern - scratch off the Vega, as it'll draw more than the other 2.
Then between the 2060 and 1070, get the 2060 simply because it's newer.

I watched a lot of benchmark videos, the 2060 is pretty close and even outperforms in some cases. Plus it would come with a warranty. I'm not in the UK or US so shipping adds another ~$40 to the ebay price unfortunately
