Gpu usage tripled?

Hey! I just upgraded my pc from an fx 8320 + ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 to an i7 4790k and this mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132118
One game that I play used to use make my GPU Load about 8-10% and now it ranges between 27-30% Anyone know what could be causing this?

If the game was using 8-10%, chances are it was an older game that did not support multicore very well. The intel processor has higher IPC (Instructions Per Clock) than the 8320, so you're just seeing less CPU bottleneck so the GPU is able to do more work.

What game are you playing?

It is an old game but the cpu / gpu usage was the same on my 6100/8320.. and my friend with an intel(not sure which) has the same cpu usage and only around 10% gpu usage. The game is wonderland online. The cpu usage was the same in all 3 processors also :/
also I just noticed, opening 3 instances of the game brings it to 35% yet 1 is at 27%
