So one of my ram gave up on me and makes my pc not boot with it plugged in and my GPU doesnt like that apparently.

To simplify

Pc turns on with no GPU but no boot

Pc turns on 1 sec and off with gpu with 6 pin

Pc turns on with gpu no 6 pin and go boom and smoke

I just want to know why it did that. Please.

Check for causes of electrical shorts inside computer with a multimeter. It's often the cause of the problem when the computer powers on for a second or two but then powers off completely. Inspect inside of your computer for problems that cause shorting.

I have an

I5 7400
Gtx1660TI ( sparked and smoked )
16 GB ram ( 2 stick of 8gb and 1 died )
Superflower legion Gx Pro 650 gold PSU
H110m-D motherboard

I was playing Cs2 then my pc suddenly turned off for no reason. The PSU seems fine cuz i checked it with a PSU tester and its within range.

The Pc is fine now and running fine but i dont get why did my GPU suddenly sparked and smoked like that when it was the 1 stick of RAM that died and not the motherboard.

From what you just said maybe it was the GPU who is shorting out the MOBO causing it to turn on for a sec and turns off when i had it plugged in with the 6 pins or. Its the PCIE slot?

Because when i had my GPU plugged in with its connections it starts for a sec and turns off immediately after. But, when i didnt have the 6 pin connector on the GPU it suddenly went ka boom and smoked when it wasnt suppose too because the PSU wasnt connected to the GPU and wasnt able to protect it?

modular psu. did you use the cable from Superflower ?
Yes i did and i think it was protecting the GPU from sparking when the 6 pin connector is connected, so thats why the PC is powering up for a second then turning off.

I dont really get it. But, could my MOBO be bad or soemthing cuz it seems to be fine and i haven't encountered any problems yet.
