Where's my PICs? I like me 'dem Duuurtee Weemen!
😱
OK here it is.
ARCHIVE the long crap, then LINK to it like this:
<A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=374941#374941" target="_new">GW's good pixel/vertex description</A>

Anywhoo, that way you create the post to explain it, and then link that post into the FAQ, even when it switches to the archives it's still there, and you can add or subtract the links, and even edit each section without having to rewrite the whole thing every time.
Sound like a good idea to anyone else?
Makes it easier, and quicker, and people can work on their portions without necessarily co-ordinating the whole project. Whoever the coordinator is simply pastes the links to the pages. It also keeps people from being too worried about brevity, and allows them the space to properly explain things, and yet allows people to skip over the section if they don't care about that or already know it.
It also allows people who can't contribute NOW to come back later and add without disturbing or overlapping.
Once again, that's just my two frames worth.
OK, now, <b>GIMME BACK MY SON!</b>.. err, WHERE'S my PICS?!?
