Graphic card drivers

so i updated my nvidia graphic drivers to 285.62, under device manager its still showing driver version as 8.17.12.8562 but on nvidia control pannel its showing as 285.62. im confused are my drivers updated ?

Yes they are. Those are not exactly the same meaning when talking about driver versions. The 285 number is for the whole ForceWare package, which includes more than just the video card drivers. HD Audio, PhysX, etc...
