In fact.. ..ATI 9800 anything is a Model T ford compaired to the Geforce 5950. By the numbers.
By who's numbers? Hopefully not yours because it appears you can't count;
"<i>Rendering Pixel pipelines. 16</i>"
4x2 = <A HREF="http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20031023/nvidia-nv38-nv36-02.html" target="_new">8 pixel pipelines</A>, not 16. And considering that often they run 4x1 depending on the app, I would say ATI has the advnatage there.
And the final numbers are performance, and there the FX5950 straps what appear to be monster specs, to terrible performance. Whereas the ATI has lower specs but equal or better performance.
Graphics by the numbers? No sounds like drivel by the dozen.
Specs don't impress, final performance does, or else everyone would be buying XGI cards, since the SPECs are VERY impressive. The reality however is much different.
Also I guess the Parhelia is a far superior card by the numbers since it has a 512 bit core, has 3 ramdacs, and can support 3 displays. Awesome! Guess it wins the numbers game.
Now let's play a Shell Game!
