Graphics Card compatability with intel D915GAV motherboard

hi all,
i have intel D915GAV mother board and i want to put ( XFX 9600 GSO 1536 MB PCI-E ) Graphics Card on it. will it work fine on it. and i have cheked my pc's mother have got PCI-E slot.
anyone please help me,

Should work fine, whats your processor though? 9600 might be overkill. Is your power supply strong enough for that card? Pretty sure 9600 needs pci-e 6pin power connector.

How could we tell you, you havent mentioned any of your pc's specfications....

intel 3.0 GHZ processor,
intel D915GAV motherboard
500 GB hard drive

and have normal power supply as bought with system.

yea.. it's gonna be overkill..

GF9600 performance will be bottlenecked by the limitation of the P4 processor as i already discovered the reason myself after trying a HD4670 on a P4 rig

vista give the P4 rig 4.3 rating (the lowest subscore from the P4 processor itself)
the rest are 4.9 and above
