Just built my pc and am wondering, could the reason why it stops spinning be that i only have a 450w corsair power supply? I have 16gb ram, gtx 1060, and a ryzen 5 1400. Do i not have enough power? Also, the pc wont connect to my monitor and says no signal (using vga to hdmi), could it be that the graphics card is not working because not enough power? Also the graphics card doesnt light up so im thinking it could be that?

It is normal for a 1060 to stop the fans if the card is running idle and temperatures are low. VGA and HDMI were not built to be converted between, so I would bet on it being your adapter. Does your monitor only have VGA?

450w is more than enough for that system.

It also has dvi. But i use a vga to hdmi for my xbox... should i buy an hdmi to dvi adapter? Also there are no LEDs that light up on the graphics card... is that normal? Its made by EVGA

Ryzen 5 1400
EVGA Gtx 1060
Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb
MSI B350 Gaming plus rtl
Corsair 450w CX450m
250gb Samsung ssd
Seagate 1 tb

I don't think it's RAM compatibility, lots of people have good experiences with that RAM on Ryzen.

You PSU is fine for the load, it's enough. As long as the 6 pin adapter is plugged in correctly there's no reason it shouldn't come on at all. The fan on the card stops spinning because it only comes on when it gets hot enough to be needed. It spins at boot as a test but shuts off if it's cool enough.

I'd plug your monitor into the DVI port directly on the card and get a HDMI---VGA adapter for the Xbox (assuming the xbox connects via VGA) . I've not actually had problems with HDMI to VGA so I'm not sure what blader15sk8 means.

I don't know what you mean about the card lighting up because there are so many models of EVGA Gtx 1060 many don't have any lights at all.

Oh ok. I wasn't connecting it to the dvi port on the card, I was using the motherboard VGA. So I guess I will get the HDMI to dvi and connect that from monitor to the dvi port from the graphics card?

Well my monitor has dvi and vga no hdmi. So would I just plus in a dvi into the monitor and then into the graphics card? And I have the Xbox one s with a HDMI to vga adapter to use the Xbox on my monitor.

Thanks. Final thing, I ordered windows 10 on a CD disk instead of flash drive and newegg says it's not redundable... any way I can download the os on a flash drive and then install it?

P.S- If i have to buy the usb instead, wheres the best place to buy it from that will get it to my house really fast? Like within the next 2 days? There are none on amazon

Yes, get a USB key out and have it ready, it will get formatted so make sure nothing is on it
download the tool here; it will setup the flashdrive and download windows10

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10

When you are choosing what to install, install the SAME VERSION you purchased, when prompted for a key, pick "I dont have a key"

when your windows dvd arrives the key number will be printed on the package, you can then activate windows using that key

You are actually an amazing person thank you

And after the key is activated i plug the usb in my new computer and install like normal?
