Graphics card ignoring changes in voltage

Hi guys!

First post in the forum, thank you guys for allowing me to join the community :)

My problem is quite strange, due to the fact that before the crimson drivers, I was able to successfully over or undervolt my r9 280x with msi afterburner, having checked in the program the voltage control and monitoring.

Now, with the new crimson drivers (quite a few months ago I know), my graphics card has been stuck at 1.256 volts, ignoring completely the msi afterburner settings I have placed (everything is unlocked, I can move the sliders, etc.) but the graphics card still runs at that voltage.

This is what ive tried:
-uninstall and install old and new drivers
-update bios
-install and uninstall windows 10
-install and uninstall msi afterburner
-change pcie slot location of the graphics card

Ive search the web for quite a long time and ive come to the conclusion it is amd overdrive overclocking utility which makes the voltage so high. I have not seen any option whatsoever at the amd overdrive nor at installing the drivers. What can I do?

PD: any extra questions just ask me and ill answer them. Thank you!

Have you tried any other overclocking utilities?
I recommend EVGA PrecisionX, sometimes certain programs don't work because of compatibility issues and such.
Check out Precision and see if it allows you to undervolt.
Also see if you can remove the AMD overclocking utility or tell it to not affect your voltage.

I tried removing the AMD overclocking utility to no avail, the voltage is still to stuck at 1.256 volts.

I did try using precisionX and the sapphire program, they both do not work...

It is so weird though, due to the fact that I used to be able to handily change the voltage to my liking, and I don't want to install older drivers for the simple fact that games such as battlefront wont be supported...

Any other ideas?

Ive been trying it for the last couple days and I haven't been able to successfully flash the bios... Ill just stick with this graphics card till the 1070 launches, and ill sell this one. Thanks anyways guys!

Did you get the commands right for flashing? Most of those GPUs have a dual bios switch. Usually one of the bios on the card runs at a higher voltage or frequency. Are you sure you never flipped the switched and you're now running on that bios which would explain the higher voltage.

Been searching up a bit more on my graphics card and it only has a legacy and a uefi bios. Tried both of them and the voltage is still stuck at 1.256 volts. Maybe theres something in the motherboard bios? Ill try the bios flashing again just in case ive missed something.
