Question Graphics card overheating

I have a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 that came in my new-ish Corsair Vengeance i7500 system, and I'm suddenly having overheat issues. I started playing Warcraft again, and I had the graphics cranked to max with no problems for a month or so. Then I started having stuttering issues, so I dialed back the graphics a bit. Worked fine. Now, in the last few days, I could feel a lot of heat coming out of the case, and my UPS would start beeping, then it would shut down off. While playing the game, I took note of the GPU temps and they were up there, like in the 170/180+ range. All fans on the GPU are on at load but it's just getting really hot. I dialed the graphics back even more, but same problem. I didn't even think this card would break a sweat with Warcraft. Any ideas on what's happening? I could add a PCI cooling fan, but I wouldn't think that that should be necessary. All fans internally are running fine. Why is my GPU getting so hot?

From my search, the case comes with 6 fans, 2 on the AIO, 1 on the rear - both of these are set to exhaust, while the from has 3 fans set to intake. Are the fans running without a hitch, ramping up and dying down with your temps?

What does Corsair's iCue app show you in terms of temps? Can you check and see what the make and model of your motherboard is and it's BIOS version?

Clean your PC case and graphics card fans to remove dust buildup. Increase case fan speeds or add additional case fans to improve airflow. Replace the thermal paste between the GPU die and heatsink
