Graphics Card signal dies and come back to life

So i installed a GTX 550 ti In this system:

Core 2 Quad 6600
P45 Platinum MSI
DDR2 800 3 GB
600w Power Supply

And sometimes it sends video signal to the Monitor and sometimes don´t I DONT know what to do, the Graphics Card is plugged with the suplementary connector (2 Molex to 1 PCIE).

The Graphics Card is plugged also with a VGA to a 1080p Monitor is that the problem? Why the signal dissapears (although the computer works) while the screen enter in Stand By mode? What should i do?!

your psu got a 6 pins conector for the card i would use it and not the molex splitter,also check you video cable to the monitor if you could with another one. this card have dvi-i connector try this to your monitor .

Okay ill try a DVI and a HDMI, will it work if i put the CD drivers?

Yeah but i got told to use CD drivers to get it to work

if if is a brand new install use the cd but if you want the latest driver go to the nvidia link, stay around and see what other members tell you on that .
