Hey everyone, I plan on buying a much needed new computer in the near future but right now, with the next semester of college starting in late January, I'll have to put that off for a few months so I can pay for tuition and textbooks.
So in the meantime, I'm looking to spend a little money for a graphics card upgrade (and power supply if absolutely necessary) for my HP Pavilion (a1430n) I bought back in 2006. The purpose is for moderate gaming, mostly simulation and strategy games, hopefully Civilization V. I'd just like to know what my options are, or if my motherboard/cpu is too out of date to even bother. My current specs:
Motherboard: ASUS A8N-LA
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ 2.00GHZ
Memory: 2.93 GB RAM (I think it would be 3 GB if it weren't for the integrated graphics chip)
Thanks guys!
