Graphics driver for intel cpu

i can't install the graphic driver in my 4790k cpu....it say tha my system doe's not meet the requirments..what can i do??

what does it display exactly? did you download the correct 64bit version? can you show a screenshot of device manager with Display Adapters please?

i can't post a sceenshot but it says: ' This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.'

Yeah, I had the same issue this morning when I was trying to update the Intel graphics driver for my laptop while I was waiting for my breakfast to heat up.

I'll have to investigate tonight when I get home from work.


Maybe they mixed up the link for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Yeah, just double checked and I definitely cannot install the 64-bit version of Intel's HD graphic drivers on my laptop. A quick search on the error indicated that laptops with custom Intel drivers cannot be upgraded with Intel's official drivers. Funny thing is that when I searched Dell's website and downloaded their most recent Intel HD driver version from 2014 I get the same error when I tried to install them.

I used Windows Update to check for optional files to install and it came back with a version of the Intel HD drivers from August 2015 which was the same version I uninstalled this morning. So... I just allowed Windows to install it and that was that.

If Windows Update did not give you an optional Intel HD driver to install, then that means you have the most recent version from Microsoft which should be August 2015.

maybe but i can't boot into windows without graphics card

When you boot up your PC you should be able to go into the BIOS. From there you should set the PC to default to the CPU's integrated graphics core. It will simply use generic Windows graphic drivers.

You should run Windows Update to allow it to find to most recent version of the Intel HD drivers from it's servers. Based on my experience it would be August 2015.

It seems like you are going to have to call Asus tech support to figure out what's going.
