Hi,

I have "Intel® Core™ i5-4440 Processor " and "EVGA GTX 970". My video card is 4GB whereas when I see my CPU's specifications I see that my "Graphics Video Max Memory" is only 2GB. Does that mean only 2GB of memory of my GPU is utilized out of 4 GB? Please explain, I'd be grateful 🙂

Solution
I suspect you're confusing two different types of memory.

Aside from the anomaly of a GTX 970 having 4GB of memory, graphics cards now have their own physical memory (typically referred to as VRAM). The GTX 970 has "4" GB.

Your CPU has integrated graphics capability: HD 4600 On this Intel page, it specifies this integrated graphics only allows a maximum of 2GB of memory from the RAM installed on your motherboard. If, for example, you installed 32GB DDR3 of RAM for your PC and no graphics card, the CPU would only use 2GB of the 32GB RAM at the most.
