I recently upgraded my system and put my old motherboard, processor, and graphics into my wife's case. It is an upgrade for her. I stripped many programs that she would never use off and my 10s of 1000s of photos and the machine was performing very well. Today, I got a mess on the screen when booting up. I had initially put her graphics card on the machine but changed it to the one I was using. That is when a grainy-looking, multiple-imaged start screen is shown. It shows the Gigabyte startup screen then the Windows icon with the rotating dots then nothing. I have tried both graphics cards and the same thing happens. I have gone into the monitor menu and it shows hdmi with a circled exclamation point. Any thoughts on why this is happening? Thanks.

A couple of screenshots when starting up. This would indicate a good monitor and connection, wouldn't it?
