Can you guys suggest me a mini itx case which is small but should fit atleast 300mm gpu. TG cases would be preferable. I have no problem purchasing from newegg or amazon. Thanks.
PS - I'll take it with me to my home every break

nzxt is a bit large for my taste and the enermax case is a bit small for watercooling and fitting the gpu at the same time.
this is going to be my spec sheet (for now - may change after release of cannon lake or volta)

i7-8700k
msi z370i pro gaming ac
aorus gtx 1080 ti xtreme
corsair sf600 or rm750x, whichever is supported
1tb seagate barracuda or firecuda sshd
256gb samsung 960 pro nvme ssd
16gb gskill rgb 3000mhz
corsair h80i or h100i, whichever possible

shift x is a tall one, the shift is nice and I have it on my radar. Any other case that comes on your mind? I would like a case which might be of the size of a console or fit in a 17'' bag. the shift might fit in a rucksack and that's the type of case I want

The issue with shift is it forces u to go with a mini or itx size in high end gpu.
For example, I consider the fractal design node 304 to be a great case with nice ventilation. But u are limited in gpu length.
Almost same in the case of lian li pc o6. Not to mention it's price XD

no, all ain't good, I had seen the shift before, and although everything is great about it, the only thing that I don't like about it is its size. If its the only case like that, then it would have to be my final choice, but if you can suggest something like that which is smaller, then that would be great.

its about the same size as 380t ain't it?

fractal design define nano s - W: 203mm H: 344mm L: 412mm
nzxt h200i - W: 210mm H: 334mm D: 372mm
corsair 380t- L: 393mm W: 292mm H: 356mm

Infact, the nzxt is a bit taller than the 380t but shorter in length and width.......niiiiiiiceee.
and I think I will be able to fit it in a mountaineering rucksack.

Few small changes considering the case size and air flow :

The focus plus is a 140mm long psu vs the 170mm of prime, helps with ur cable management.
The liquid cooler gpu has a 120mm rad which u can mount in the rear and the x52 in the front. The stock 120 remains in the top.

psu is better in my build, and isn't the samsung 960 pro better than the wd nvme? and about the mobo, i've seen only negative reviews about the board about it being doa on arrival. the 2tb hdd is definitely good, so i'll add it to my list, but the performance on the aorus 1080ti xtreme is a bit more than evga sc2. Also, i would like to purchase the ram locally from india and geil is not a company that is available here.

And the last thing is about the nzxt kraken x52. I think that the pump of nzxt kraken x52 is very poorly built and is the major cause of its downfall, has it been fixed with the rev. 2? That's why I went with the trusted h100i v2. Plus it is not available in India so I have to import it from the US, and since it is such a poorly built product, that's why I didn't want to risk it. These are the things that are in my mind. Please think about it.

Like I already said, focus plus cuz it's 140mm long, helps with ur cable management. And furthermore, the focus plus is a solid unit. Nothing to fault there.

The Strix z370 issues are software related mainly and are fixed with the latest bios.

The gpu is shorter and has a 120mm rad to take heat outside the case. Just for thermals. Moreover, cases like these, it might prove problematic to fit 2.5 slot gpu.

Went with the kraken for rgb. If you feel OK with h100i v2, go for it.

Same case with rams. Rgb.

960 is definitely the better performing drive, but u won't see any real difference unless it's high res video editing or other data intensive tasks. That's y the cheaper black.

ok, nice. the rams I chose are rgb as well, though I think I will change from gskill to corsair. Also I'll take a closer look at the asus mobo. and I will keep the psu you had in mind. As for the gpu, we'll see.
Update:
I reread the reviews on amazon and newegg, they said the same thing, the motherboard is doa or died within a few days.
