Question GT 730 equivalent

OP has a Legacy BIOS motherboard where even GTX 900 series can be problematic but usually works. I would suggest a GTX 750Ti without a power connector, or one of the MSI versions with a vBIOS switch to force Legacy BIOS mode.

But even a Fermi GT730 is faster than the ATI HD4250 IGP in OP's GA-880GM-D2H motherboard.

Yes, non UEFI support is a problem. Crawling through forums about people upgrading older systems I generally find that cards that come with an optional or direct VGA port generally support traditional BIOS. DVI-I is also generally a good sign, but easily confused with DVI-D.
