What's your screen resolution and what games do you intend to play,
My current screen resolution is 1440 by 900.

because with your system and a GT240; You will be extremely limited.
That doesn't sound to good but to be quite honest I have actually thought about not buying a new card. The game I want to play with the card is Champions Online, in all fairness GeForce 8400 GS has been alright and I really haven't had anything to worry about. I only started to notice things when I got into some really heavy fighting then the frame rate started to mess up. I have also played Dragon Age and to be quite honest I've had no problems at all with it.
Somebody on another forum suggested a GTX460 and as far as I can see thats even more powerful, he also stated my system was pretty modern.
mosox :
GT 240 DDR5 not DDR3, that one is slower.
Doesn't it state its DDR5 on the link though? Again this is really confusing. Theres this card, it states here that its DDR3

On amazon.co.uk it states the same one is DDR5.

Also there is this

The above is listed as DDR5 but on the Amazon description it states it's DDR5 then when you read down it says its DDR3

Thanks for the suggestions, however I'm going to buy from Amazon, it will get to me quicker.
Well maybe I should be more patient but I want my card like 5 minutes ago. I'm going to make a decison today and I'm going to choose between these three cards

I'm getting mixed opinions on the HD5570 vs GT240, on paper the HD5570 should perform better but most people in practice seem to say GT240. One last question does DDR3 and DDR5 make that much difference? Really my objective is just to pick a card that is significantly superior to GeForce 8400 GS, so even if it's not DDR5 does it really matter?
Well looks like I'm going to be getting the GT240. There are too many people saying its superior and that graph seems to show that. I'm assuming the highier the percentage the better the performance as opposed to how high it is on the graph. I'm probably going to get this,

Most descriptions state its DDR5 so the Amazon description must be an error. Thats the only confusing thing now, I'm getting conflicting descriptions of the same card.
