i have dell inspiron n5010 4 gb ram i5 processor 500 gb hard disk drive and ati premium graphics 1 gb but my laptop does not play the game very well so plzz help me on this and i have windows 7 ultimate

The premium graphics has always been abused by brand name laptop makers. I have even seen 1 laptop with an ati 5145 with a premium graphics sticker on. I just so wanted to rip it off. It most definitly not deserve the premium graphics sticker. It makes the premium graphics sticker to something meaningless.

GTA 4 is a horribely coded game which runs really bad on PC. I am not surprised at all a laptop with a weak gpu lika a ati 5470m (I really don't think it deserves to be named a premium graphics card) not being able to run it at all. All you can do is to put everything on low and hope that you can get palyable framerate. Sorry, there is nothing we can do about that.

thanks bro for the help i changed all the setting in the catalyst center and the game runs f9 but when i play it seems i am playing *** cause when i play on my ps3 (sony bravia internet tv) it looks beautiful isnt there i can do to make it run on better graphics and one more thing it is AMD Radeon HD 6500M/5600/5700 Series

If you have been on this forum long enough, you know that your problem is not unique. Many people with much batter hardware have problem running it at playable framerate and everytime, we came to the same conclusion for this game- play it on a console.

To run the game as good as the console on a PC you need a quad core cpu with high end gpu in a desktop. Stay away from playing that game on PC if you are not putting serious money to invest on hardware.

I am surprised that you could even start the game. That game ran like *** when it was released and even now after 6 patches it still looks and runs like crap on my i7 and gtx 275.The devs basically made the game for consoles and ported it to PC without optimising it.The REAL requirements for gta 4 are an i7 and above,8GB and more RAM,and a powerful card like the gtx 570 etc.Thers nothing you can do to improve performance as its nothing but a beta version on the PC

GTA4 is just one of those games that runs crappy on PCs due to poor coding. It wants the hardware requirements for Crysis 2 in DX11 without looking half as good. It also doesn't help that your laptop GPU is pretty low end. A HD 5470 just isn't premium graphics, it's about 1/4 the GPU that's in AMDs newer Llano CPUs. Just stick to your PS3 for GTA 4
