I have HP pavilion laptop it has i5 8th gen 8300H processor and 7200rpm hdd with 8gb of ram 2400mhz.
While playing GTA my game stutters and lags after 15min of gameplay so lowered the settings of the game to Normal and all advance settings are off the gameplay resolution is 1200*960 but still lags and shutters after sometime and it is undervolted to 3.5ghz for less temps.

Please tell me some solutions to fix or I should increase my ram to dual channel 16gb.

What GPU your laptop have by the way?

Dual Channel RAM will speed up not only games, but other things. Though in your case I would replace HDD to SSD as well. Because less lag on any file access.

This might be a fool's fix, but it did work for me. So I have an 8gb machine, dual channel 4gbx2. My game starts to stutter after a typical 10-15 mins of gameplay. The only time it would stop stuttering was when I used to be in some mountaineous landscape, or in Sandy Shores(Where Trevor lives), So I just shifted my Ram sticks from their default slot to another slots, For eg- They were in slot 1 and 2 , so I put one in slot 3, so the config was one in Slot 1 and 1 in slot 3. This extended my gameplay to upto 45 min, and once it starts to stutter, exit the game, let your pc cool down for 5 mins, and enter the game again.
