GTA IV texture loading problem(HELP!!!)

Hey guys i can play iv easily but my friend can't play it because it doesn't load the texture...only the people,cars,hotdog stores and objects on ground but not the textures...what is the prob?also we cannot identify what kind of video card he has because it doents appear in control panel...he has a laptop(he can play games like farcry 3 so his laptop not so bad.)

But where do we see the graphics driver, because it doesn't show anywere? And i am sure he has one in because he can play farcry 3 without lagging....also in the graphics menu it shows that he has only 64MB dedicated mem and my laptop has 972mb

If I've read correctly you have only 64 MB of dedicated memory to graphics? If it's so that it's the problem, video memory it's too low. And the memory you're referring (972) I think that it's the RAM, it has nothing to do with VRAM (video RAM). In short you're low on RAM and VRAM, that' why you've got problems. Of course if I've read correctly, if you meant 640 MB so it's another thing, in any case GTA IV on PC it's buggy even on powerful machine, it's not well optimized on PC. And If it's a laptop just check if it use an integrated graphic chip because integrated graphics card and games don't go well together. But you tell me that he can play Far Cry 3, so I don't know, if you tell us the laptop spec such as CPU installed, RAM installed, and everything we can help you better. 😉
