It's a known issue and lots of people are waiting on a fix from Rockstar because nothing seems to fix the issue. Some people have got lucky and reinstalled an older gpu driver.

Crashes can happen within the time period you said, others reported same crash after several hours.

List specs.

i fixed it begin this week, instead of the latest driver for gaming, i used the latest Studio driver, after that no more crashes.
(You can check that at Experience, Drivers tab, and then the 3 lil dots)

played a couple of days with that driver without any issues.

The problem between Steam/Social... i dont know man, i dont bought the game on Steam, so thats no problem for me.

This is happening to me too. Where are you finding your crash report for this because I can't find mine anywhere.

So here was my fix... Now I'm not too sure which did it, but this is what I did.

  1. Completely uninstalled geforce experience.
  2. Manually downloaded another driver number, I went back to 436.02. (late august 2019, also, I did not reinstall experience... I only did the driver)
  3. I had a controller that was "new" to my PC within the past month, I didn't crash before it so I figured I'd unplug it when I play GTA5, seeing how I use mouse/keyboard anyway.
I just played for like 3 hours and finally, no crash. Good luck!

Edit: Played the next day and crashed to desktop again. sigh.
