It lags ALOT when I drive in both single-player and online. I can't play the game well since the whole game is about cars. I installed the 15.4 beta drive on the amd website but it only helped a small bit.
SPECS:
R9 280x
fx-8320
4 gb ram

Same here 770 oc i5 3350p 8 ram,it goes from 80 fps to 50 every damn second..Though the gpu goes from 95 usage to 47 when this happens.

Increase RAM, I am curious to see if some one does a review of different hard drives for this game. When driving there is a lot of textures that it needs to load in, I know when I played the game on 360 it had issues keeping up so not sure if that problem carried over into the PC version.

I personally have it loaded on my SSD so I don't have anything to compare it with.

I'll get more ram then. I'll post something to see how it goes.

I've been having this issue too. at one point I lowered my settings all the way down (except for resolution). It's not the graphical settings that is causing this.

Windows 8.1 (I don't know, but I think this is what's causing the issues. None of my friends are having the same issues and they all have windows 7)
AMD FX-9590
32gb ram

Edit: Definitely not windows 8.1, I'm gonna try installing on an ssd
Nvidia GTX-660

Turn vsync off, I have experienced really bad input lag in GTA V with it on and usually it causes my fps to cap at 1/2 my refresh rate. The good thing so far is that I have experienced very little screen tearing with vsync off.

I did turn it off but still 30 fps...

I am having the same issue. It starts playing great, but im using my cpu meter to watch my RAM usage and it slowlly increases the longer i play until i get nothing above 10 fps for more than a second. Getting more RAM may work for you, but i currently have 8 gigs of RAM and my RAM usage goes up to 83 percent and task manager says it is only using 2.5 gigs.

For me it was the ram. Still, I get 30 fps. Installing GTA V on an ssd is left...

I am having lag when driving, i have constant 60 fps and then I get sudden fps drops to 55 fps with noticeable lag for less than a second and then goes back to 60 fps. I closed all applications running in the background I even closed explorer.exe, and Nvidia processes, turned GTA 5 priority to High and turned auto music scanning to off. This fixed my lag/hiccup while driving.

Hope this helps.
