Hello, I have build a low-mid pc gaming and I have problems with certain game, it doesn't run smoothly like it should be, like below 30fps. What's seems to be the problem here?

I have updated the gpu driver to the latest version, still get bad performance in game. I'd even uninstall using DDU and reinstall, still have bad performance. I'd even updated my BIOS and other components.

The game I tested is Ghost Recon Wildlands, Dishonored 2, Just Cause 3, Prey and AC:Syndicate. My settings on this game are all Low Quality 1080p, I have like below 35 fps. Is this normal? Because I watched some youtube videos that have the same gpu runs quite well, example Ghost Recon Wildlands runs 35-50fps on High Settings. While im getting below 30fps on Low Quality.

Is it because the games are unoptimized? or should I upgrade some components that i have right now?

Here are my specs:-
i5 3470 3.2Ghz
Gtx 1050 Phoenix 2GB
4gbx2 Kingston ddr3 1600
WD Blue 1tb 7200rpm
Thermaltake SmartSE 550w
Motherboard H61M-C

And for those youtubers, which CPU do they have and is it overclocked, which RAM do they have and are the yactually using a GTX 1050 TI and not a GTX 1050?

Yes I'm sure the youtuber using GTX 1050 2GB, not the TI and the cpu he's using is i5 4590. Theres another youtuber using I3 6100 with GTX 1050 2GB, both of them using 8GB ram

I've got a simular rig but using 8gb of ram and a 1050 ti superclocked 4gb, I've been having issues with lag spikes but nothing major FPS overall seems fine running GTA V, been running everything on that at very high/High.

Just reinstalling windows now on mine to see if that helps!

Have you checked the CPU usage in idle yet? and any ongoing processors that maybe hammering it?

also might be a good idea to use something like hardware monitor to!

And also make sure that the nvidea drivers your using arn't beta drivers and are game ready ones, also make sure on device manager that the microsoft onboard graphics are uninstalled as these will cause conflict

I'm sure the DVI cable is at the GPU not the motherboard.

Hello! About reinstalling Windows, that would be my last resort doing that. As for the PSU, bought it last year on December. Its 80plus, not the bronze, lowest one, white colored logo. Yes, im using the NVIDIA Game Ready drivers, I even use DDU and reinstall my drivers.

I checked my CPU on idle is on 7-9%. Also, when playing games, Gpu runs 99% and the CPU runs at 80%,both temps are fine below 60c.

There is no such thing as the monitor cannot handle it. If he has a 1080p monitor it will handle 1080p, simple as that.
Yes, changing to a lower resolution will improve FPS but who wanna play in 720p these days, I wouldn't.

It is already uninstalled. Btw, I've realised when I'm playing games that I state, It use a lot of pagefiles, looks like its struggling. Is it because of slow HDD? Because my HDD is quite old. Just wondering if its had to do with anything.

my hardrives quite slow, just finished reinstalling windows and everything else and its fixed my problem, sometimes its quicker doing that in terms of software problems can be like looking for a needle in a hay stack otherwise and can take forever to get the problem sorted!. If that doesn't work then you know its a hardware related issue for certain, then you can start looking for the problem by eliminating every potential cause

I had an r9 270 dual x before which is simular to what you've got now and it'd run B4 and GTA V on medium/high easily!. Your PSU seems like a good one, your CPU is ok, your graphics is good, rams ok but could be a little higher. Hardrive wise Im not sure what the speed is but this usually only effects the speed of installations and loading up a game not the running of it

Yes, the motherboard is designed for 2nd and 3rd gen Intel CPU's. About formatting my PC, I will do it after I bought SSD this weekend, was planning to buy it.

I've tried changing the settings, some games have a little performance differences, others is just the same, maybe I'll try reinstall my driver again for 1 last time, if its doesnt work, maybe I will reinstall Windows when I have bought my SSD to see if it works.

That makes it sound as if the problem is with the CPU. Check the temperatures of your CPU, also check the clocks that the CPU cores are reaching while in game.

The CPU temp are fine as I stated at matt20020, CPU and GPU temps below 60c, CPU usage 60-80%, while the GPU 95-99% in-game

Both low and high same usage, the fps differences are small, in Low Settings I got like 35-40, while High 32-38fps. I realized the game always having a hard time to load textures, like the map is already loaded, but when I walk or turn behind, the textures reloads, texture pop-ins.

Latest game I tried yesterday is Hellblade Senua, Medium Settings got like 60-70 fps, when walking it drops 21-32 and quickly back to 60-70fps, if I keep on walking, it just repeats itself, low fps then suddenly back to 60-70fps. On and on. Its like the game trying to reload its textures or something. :??:

That doesn't make a lot of sense. Does that happen in other games too? See if you can see real time clock rates of your GPU and CPU. Be sure you are looking at the correct field for GPU usage. If higher settings doesn't result in lower FPS or higher GPU usage, the monitoring software is wrong, clock rates changed, or maybe a Virus is involved. (Maybe an isolated game issue, but you said all games).
