Hello, greetings

So I've had my pc for a couple of years now and postponed trying to find a solution,
but I am wondering why I would be receiving such appalling fps in games with my pc, in the 20's and below

For example, I thought I'd try out the game Frostpunk on Steam. Judging by its system requirements
my specs should be adequate right?? but it struggles, again around 20 fps.

My PC specs from Speccy.

Also,
  • I have my HDMI cable plugged into the GPU's HDMI port
  • I have up to date Geforce game ready driver ver. 430.64

Thanks for your help.

Is this on all games?
Do you have latest BIOS installed?
What is your PSU make and model?
How is your RAM configured (I am noticing the dual channel unknown, which can just be Speccy not reading the chips correctly)?
When was the last time you ran a disk cleanup / defrag / trim and virus scans?
Run Userbenchmark and post the link of your results to here just so we can eliminate anything obvious going on.

On more 3d games yes this is what I get. Heres an example of what fps I was receiving in Frostpunk View: https://imgur.com/P4g97FD

This was all low settings with the resolution lowered to 1366 x 768 (60 Hz) in hopes to bump up performance more.

My BIOS was updated last in 2016. View: https://imgur.com/djibGjZ

My PSU is:
Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze

My RAM is configured in slots 1 & 3 on a dual channel. Which is the right setup?

I ran a disk cleanup. Defrags came up OK and they have been scheduled to occur weekly. And no viruses.
