GTX 1060 compatibility with Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P motherboard

Hi,

I have a four years old system and I'm planning on upgrading the gpu to a GTX 1060.
Will there be any compatibility issue with the motherboard? (e.g. having BIOS instead of UEFI)

System specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P (F7 BIOS version)
CPU: Intel i5 2500K
GPU: MSI GTX 660
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W

Not an answer, but I'm in the same boat. I've have the exact same motherboard but I heard that because it's running in legacy bios mode it might not work with new NVIDEA series cards.

You'll maybe need to update your mobo's BIOS:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3912#bios

Check the options on you current BIOS, if UEFI boot is somewhere there then you're good to go.

Apparently the UEFI BIOS is still in beta. It should work, but I couldn't find anything confirming that.
