Hello, so i upgraded my graphics card from r9 270 to gtx 1060. I used to play csgo on 200-300fps
But now it only runs on 70-120fps with gtx 1060. Its not only for csgo, others games hardly reach 60fps or stay on 60fps for example insurgency drops to time to time 30fps and avg fps is 50 on medium graphics..

My specs:
MSI 1060 6gb
I5-2500 @ 3.30ghz (I overlocked it to 3.70)
Ram Vengeance — 8GB DDR3
Motherboard: MSI H61M-P20(GR)(MS-7788)
PSU 750W

How i can do that? 😀 :)

So i used hwinfo, i think i used right 😀

And this the fps i get in cs: https://gyazo.com/3470dd35afd06f37761928bd6abf247a

So u saying that i wont get more fps then my older graphics card..? Because at this point i see that r9 270 was better then gtx 1060...

While in game, open task manager and check if there is something that is eating your resources. What OS are you using ? If windows 10, then disable all of Xbox services by " Open Run > type services.msc> right click on each xbobx service> properties> stop> change startup to disable. Download malware bytes and scan your Pc.

Yes i use windows 10, i changed that xbox thinks startup to disable, and malwarebytes didnt found any thread. Reeboted pc and same fps ;/

Did you turn off Vsync ? Did you put the power management mode to maximum performance ? If you have one display, change the multiple display performance to single display. Try pre-rendered frames 3 and then try 1 (if it wasn't fixed). If none helped, switch the pre-rendered frames to default. If none of these helped, i suggest you reset your BIOS settings and check. Also, make sure that all your drivers are up to date. Also, update windows. Please check if any of these will help.

Create an autoexec.cfg text file in csgo\cfg folder if one doesn't exist. Once done copy and post the commands below. Save the autoexec and once csgo loads hit ~. Then type exec autoexec. This will remove stuff from csgo you cant see on player models like eyes and such.

cl_disablehtmlmotd "1" // Disables The Servers Message of The Day.
cl_forcepreload "1" // Preloads The Whole Map & Sounds.
fps_max "0"
mat_queue_mode "2" // Forcing Your CPU To Use Multi-Threaded Mode.
r_drawtracers_firstperson "0" // Firstperson Tracers OFF.
r_eyegloss "0" // No Makeup.
r_eyemove "0" // No Eye Movement.
r_eyeshift_x "0" // No Eye Movement X-Angle.
r_eyeshift_y "0" // No Eye Movement Y-Angle.
r_eyeshift_z "0" // No Eye Movement Z-Angle.
r_eyesize "0" // Smaller Eyes.

Here are some performance enhancing launch options to try.
-freq = Set The MAXIMUM Hertz Your Monitor Have. I Use -freq 144.
-high = This will start the game in high-priority mode for better FPS.
-nojoy = Removes the joystick support and give more free Memory and FPS.
-novid = Removes the Valve introduction movie when the game starts.
-threads = Set to MAX (4 is MAX). number of threads your CPU have. (ONLY Works for some PC's). Find your CPU here if its Intel or AMD: http://ark.intel.com/ - http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/processors
-tickrate 128 = Allowing you to run your own dedicated server at 128 tickrate.
+cl_forcepreload 1 // Preloads The Whole Map & Sounds.
+mat_queue_mode 2 = Forcing Your CPU To Use Multi-Threaded Mode.

Hey, yes i had vsync turned off, maximum performance, display performance to single display, tried pre-render frames still nothing, i dont know about bios how to reset them so havent checked yet.. drivers are up to date ofcourse :)

Thank you for your answer, but it only gave me like 2-5fps boost in csgo ;/ but u see i only gave csgo as example im also not getting good perfomance in other games.. like insurgency, rainbow six siege or tom clansy the division.

Try to remove the overclock. It is better if you reset your Bios. Turn on your Pc> Generally you press "Delete" button to enter the bios. Post screen will state what button you should press in order to enter the Bios. Also, are you sure that your cord is plugged into the graphics card port and not into the motherboard? What monitor do you have ? What are your in-game settings and what resolution are you gaming at ? Make sure that you are running your games in full screen mode. If they are already in full screen mode, try changing the option just to check if the fps will increase.

Did you compare the results online ? To see how others with the same system specs have scored ? Please check my reply before this post and answer. I don't even know if that test is reliable though.
