I got my 1070 recently, about 10 days ago. At first I was really happy until i started playing games. Take for example, need for speed. The new one which was released in 2015.
As you can see in this video a 970 and an i5 4440 can handle the game at ultra at 60+ fps no problem, it never drops below 60 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tO4kfmVqAg
And here I am with the same specs, the same processor and a 1070 and it struggles to run the game ffs. I get 55-60 fps max and it drops to 45 fps. I know 55-60 sounds good but it isn't cuz it keeps jumping around 45-60 sometimes goes upto 75 but suddenly drops when i move the camera
I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers multiple times but nothing works
Specs:
I5 4440
corsair 8gb value select 1333mhz
asus b85m-g
antec vp 550w
Also don't tell me the cpu is bottlenecking because in the video he's getting around 65-75 fps easily with the same specs
Please help me out before I smash my 1070
Thanks.

its at txaa
also when i turn down all the graphics to the lowest and when I play it still drops to 55 and i get lots of micro stutters and I shouldn't be getting such performance with a 1070 ..

''As you can see in this video a 970 and an i5 4440 can handle the game at ultra at 60+ fps no problem, it never drops below 60 ''

''Also don't tell me the cpu is bottlenecking because in the video he's getting around 65-75 fps easily with the same specs''

then you don't know how he may of ''adjusted '' things take them things with a grain of salt .. maybe just some bragging hype or just crap ?
I did not see any osd used in that vid. so how do you know anything from it ?

you say same specs ?? or just the same gpu and cpu ?? did he say it was all stock or has he maxed any oc for that run ?? you aint got a clue

I found 1600mhz RAM to be a bottleneck with a 970 and an i7 3770k. I'd look to the RAM first. Make sure you have space, and then you can get some 2400mhz ram for $40. It should definitely make a noticeable difference there.

Idk, maybe true that he oc'd some of his parts or he may have turned down the settings a bit .. i have no clue.

But is it true that my cpu is bottlenecking my 1070? Many people have said no and some have said yes
I'm gonna check if it is bottlenecking .. thanks for the help

i dont think anyone said the CPU is, i think they are saying the ram is

The ram? I really don't know if its the ram. If it is i have no problem in upgrading it but I just don't want to spend money and get the same performance again. So I wanna know what the problem is exactly
