Question GTX 1070 ti in VR

I was wondering how well a GTX 1070 ti handles VR, I’ve read that a GTX 1060 is the recommended minimum, that’s the GTX 1070 handles VR quite well, and the GTX is probably the best option without hitting prices of 1000 and up. But I haven’t found much info on the GTX 1070 ti. I would think it would be between a GTX 1070 and 1080 in quality but knowing how things can turn out that might not be the case. IDK anyway. So how well can a GTX 1070 ti run VR and if it is in between a 1070 and 1080 in quality. If it turns out the 1070 ti does not run VR better than a 1070 than could you point in the right direction of another GPU that might work better?

Pretty much between a 1070 and a 1080, yes. Performance-wise, it'll sit closer to a stock speed, reference 1080.
