GTX 1080 or GTX 1070 in SLI ???

I currently have a ZOTAC 980Ti AMP Extreme! edition and I still have trouble running some games in 4K with the help of g-sync. I can achieve close maxed out settings in some but others need to be dropped down to low settings.

My current display setup consists of: Acer XB280HK and an Acer GN246HL

Anyways the big question here is GTX 1080 or GTX 1070 in SLI.

I know the limiting factors of SLI config which is the biggest question since I know that the SLI version will out perform the 1080. However is it really that big of a difference to opt for that method over a single card?

When you buy a new gpu NEVER buy 2 sli/crossfire, always go for the 1 powerful gpu and you can add 1 for sli/crossfire later.

it depends on the price if the 1080 is more than 75% more the price of a 1070 i guess sli if not 1080
