I have a GTX 1080 with two 8-pin power connectors. It came with 2 8-pin to dual 6-pin cables. I also have a Seasonic G-550 PSU which came with 2 8-pin to 6+2-pin cables. I don't understand what I'm supposed to connect to what. Do I plug each of the PSU cables into one of the 6-pins on each GPU cable? Or do I only connect one GPU cable and plug both PSU cables into it? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Solution
All you need to do is directly connect the two PCIe 6+2 cables from your PSU into the GTX 1080 8-pin sockets.

Edit for clarification: You don't need to fool around with any of the extra adapters because your PSU already fully supports the card with its 6+2 PCIe connections.
