Gtx 1080ti pc or gtx 1070 laptop

I am having a real big doubt. I am going to an engineering college and i have 2 options - 1. Gtx 1080ti pc
2. Gtx 1070 laptop. Now what do you guys think i should opt for? I live in india. The laptop i will be choosing is msi ge73 raider and the desktop will be custom built by me. The price of both of them are nearly the same, i.e $2500. Pla reply soon. Thanks in advance.

I have finally found a solution to my dilemma. It is the HP Omen X 17t with Intel i7-7820HK and GTX 1080.

It is a good laptop, but honestly is way too bulky for class. If you are sticking to paper and pen for class, this laptop is not bad for gaming at home. Plug in an external monitor and it should be good.

I have chosen another laptop which is way better than this one at nearly the same price.
It is the Sager NP9877 with a Core i7-8700k and desktop gtx 1080 with 256gb nvme ssd and 1tb seagate firecuda sshd with a 17.3 inch 3k qhd ips 120hz g-sync panel and 16gb of ddr4-2400mhz at about rs 230000

It is not about the laptop. The point is whether this is too bulky for you to take to class. In the end, you want something that is portable enough for class and which is good enough for your games. Both the laptops are good and you cannot go wrong with either.

But the question you must ask yourself is if it is light enough for you to take to class and yet game on it. If so, go ahead. Or if you are using pen and paper for class, this laptop is not a bad idea.

Otherwise, build a custom PC, while picking up a cheap laptop for class and simple web surfing.

I know but the thing is that I won't be staying in my home town to go to my college. I may have to go to another state or country(IDK about that). So I really don't know if I can keep my custom PC without me there as I won't be able to carry my PC back and forth with me to my home during the holidays that's why I wanted a really powerful laptop. I really won't care if its bulky or not. I'll manage it somehow.

(ii)Now can you guys help me with something? Can you guys send me links of all the websites that you know that build custom Sager or Clevo laptops(Even if its some US website which ships only to the US)?
