Hello,i am going to get a few new parts for my pc so i have trouble choosing a video card the trouble is

Does the XFX Ati radeon 5770HD 1GB? perform same as the GTX260?

the system i am building is

intel core i7 930 2.8ghz

Corsair Dominator 3X2GB 1600mhz memory tri channel whit the i7

INTEL ATX X58 LGA1366 FSB1600 DDR3 RAID

Coolermaster 620W PSU

and i cant decide the gtx 260 or the xfx hd 5770? no idea how they perform if compared,if any one could help me decide i would be thankfull.

why not? that board is a nice board has 1600 memory support but why should i not go whit intel board?

other boards that support the i7 are cheap low memory speed support etc.

ive just found this gigabyte motherboard it supports DDR3 even 2200mhz memorys!

i think its better since it has a little bit better features than the intel one but the inte one is a more expensive like 20-23$ more expensive.

the mobo that i just saw i was amazed xD

MB X58/ICH10R S1366 ATX/GA-X58A-UD3R GIGA-BYTE

ofcorse i can afford it like i said the intel costs 25$ more i could even afford the intel one which costs more.

this one is cheaper so i can afford it and save a little bit cash, but i just wish the EVGA X58 was in my country but if i find a X58 from somewhere i will buy it by the way im gonna go check the EVGA X58 specs for now.

Anything above 1333MHz doesn't make much difference, none actually.

maybe if ur just surfing internet multi tasking etc but in gaming it should increase

what i meant that like using windows just installing videos or something surfing internet etc well NON GAMING whit the 1333mhz is enought but in games the 2200 mhz is being used.

And it gives 1-2fps improvement

well lmfao! if it gives 2 fps improvement means at thease days it wont support 2200mhz,maybe like 3 or 5 years later it will fully support it :kaola:

ok then i got i5 760 gtx460 and the mobo, next how the hell i can get the memory now after that gtx460 which is so overpriced in my country...

u can stop saying get the i5 i will never get it cuz it dosent support tri channel so im getting i7 whit the tri channel memory.

p55 and x58 are almost the same here...

If you can't get the GTX460 then get the HD 5850. And what's the problem about buying dual-channel DDR3 for P55 mobo? And stop being tripple-channel DDR3 fan. You won't see much improvement for your needs anyway. You will get benefits from 3-channel only if you fire up alot of apps on the computer + 2 games....

i just checked the price of 5850 it costs almost 200$ more than the gtx460.

Then get the GTX460 and i5-760. GTX460 is a quite faster than the 5770.

Oh yes and i forgot get the 1GB GTX460 if you have the money.

quite faster than the 5770? it should be alot alot faster
