GTX 260 Underclocking itself in games?

So today i was playing some games and decided to check how the card was working in GPU Z
to my suprise even in the middle of a full scale battle the core clock was at 390MHz which i was wondering why since well isnt it supposed to be working at full load? Overheating isnt a problem since i've checked the temps when i first got the card and never went over 60 under load.

Any explanation for this is welcomed.

my GPU-Z also says at idle that it work on 650mhz for core, no way.

Is it possible that your psu is suspect? 3d mode in games requires lots more power.

Is there a bios update to your card that might be applicable?

I'm having the same problem with my gtx 275 - EVGA Precision shows my gpu running at 301/602/100 at idle and 400/799/297 in use, Temps never reach above 60
I have a new PSU and everything else seems to be working fine...

Any ideas?
