I've read the GTX 295 can perform as well as a 750Ti in certain scenarios in gaming.

Is this true?

If not, what would the GTX 295 be equivalent to in terms of today's GPU's? Would it be a 7770? a 7790? etc etc.

I looked at that and it's given me ALOT of hope, HOWEVER is that a theoretical chart rating them in order of on paper performance?

How would the GTX 295 perform in today's standards? Considering it doesn't even support DX11.

All this efficiency stuff makes me laugh a lot. I couldn't care less if my card took 150W or 400W. I don't pay the energy bill in the house.

Besides my PC will not be used that often.

I just want to know the performance compared to today's cards.

I've found a few GTX 295's from a reputable company, teted with 12 months warranty for £40.....whereas the cheapest 750Ti is about £90.

So in real world performance, how would the GTX 295 do head to head with the newer cards?

Really? So I wouldn't be able to run something like Far Cry 4?

I heard running DX10 compared to DX11 would mean you just have less graphical features available to you.

nope, can't run far cry 4, required directx 11.

Only if the game support both dx10 and dx11.

So if a game supports both DX 10 and DX 11, which card will perform better?

Which games lately have been DX11 only? and will all newer games be DX11 only?

if you want a cheap and easy way to play AAA games get a console, if you follow the same path on PC youre gonna have a bad time.

gtx 295 running DX10 would be faster then the other one.

Pretty much every new AAA(big name publisher) title would be DX11.

When did games start becoming DX11 only? Stuff like Thief that came out last year supported both,

Yup you are totally right, howeve I have a PS4 for the latest AAA titles, I'm buying a PC for the games that are older and not on the PS4, so stuff like Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Fallout, etc etc.

I did said new as in game that will be coming out.

So anything older than Far Cry 4 will be fine?

Check the game system requirement, but most likely older game that you mention will be fine.
Other then that overheating, psu(power), driver support, will be your main issue.

Does the GTX 295 have heat issues in general?

Why is driver support stopping a bad thing? I'm quite new to PC's so only really know the foundations of newer platforms and stuff,

well, then why not get 3 sli then? oh wait, you're going to pay for this one?

That makes absolutely no sense..what are you implieing?
