Hello!

Greetings to all! I am currently on a tight budget and one of my possible build routes would be
using my old my packard bell system and upgrading it to the best i can.

Would it be compatible for that ancient motherboard to be paired with a 560?
Without it smoking and possibly exploding of course. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP!

SPECS:
H57D02 1156 MOBO
GT 315
I3 550 (but will upgrade to i5 750)
4gb ddr3 ram
generic power supply (will upgrade to silverstone ST60F 600w)

P.S I have considered replacing the motherboard to a better 1156 mobo however i do not want to waste a working mobo without making sure first.

I think you're already fine with that CPU, if all you need to do is some light gaming at 720p. my backup pc (on sig)...

it will run okay, and replacing the mobo without anything broken is not worth it.

I think you're already fine with that CPU, if all you need to do is some light gaming at 720p. my backup pc (on sig) only has a Q9500 + GT1030 + 4gb ram, and it can do 720p on several games just fine. Looks like your i3 is one of the first i3's and my CPU is the last of the core 2 quads.
