Hey folks,

First time here... Having a hard time deciding between graphics cards, hoping you guys can give me a better idea of what I need.

Essentially I do video editing, a bit of 3D modeling, and audio editing. I'm looking for a card between $100-200 that will give me 4 simultaneous monitor support, and a bit of a performance increase. My computer and components are 3 years old, I'm running an i7-950 processor. The cards I've narrowed it down to are the GTX 650, 650 Ti, or the HD7850.

I currently bought the Gigabyte GTX 650 2GB model, but I'm wondering if I should return that and invest a little more money into the 650 Ti or HD7850.

I've read that the performance gain from graphics cards are minimal since, for my purposes, all of the programs really heavily on the CPU. However Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Sony Vegas are making use of CUDA cores to boost their playback and rendering performance, which is why I'm wondering if +700 CUDA cores on the 650 Ti will make much of a difference over the + 300 cores on the 650. But then I've also read that the HD7850 smokes the GTX 650's in terms of price vs. performance.

So my question is... keep the 650 or return it and upgrade/downgrade to something else?

Thanks,

Zach
