GTX 660 Ti OC vs GTX 760

Hi everyone, i want to upgrade from a gtx 460 but i dont know how graphics card its better i found this two cards:

I will use it to play FPS games at most, like BF3 and uncoming BF4! also for using big models of sketchup, autocad, etc... The gtx 760 cost $250 and for $10 more the OC edition but the gtx 660 ti OC cost only $219 can you guys help me what will be better in performance/price. THX

Get the 760 normal edition. Manually adjust temperature target through EVGA Precision X software and you get overclocks for free.

This pretty much says it all. The 760 may have 20w more power consumption and lower shader texture but overall better than the 660ti. You should get the best tech now, then upgrade when the time comes.

How about a compromise and get an AMD Radeon HD 7950? Or get a 7950 BOOST on sale. I only recommend AMD in this case because BF4 is likely to be slightly skewed towards AMD. I think its the same with autocad, but don't quote me on that.

Edit: Nvm. Ignore what I said. There's no button to delete my post. I'd go with a gtx 760 and pay the extra $10 for a factory overclocked one. It's worth it because those cards are usually binned as better than the non-oc ones.

this topic has been beaten to death and back. 7950 is better than both. it is faster than the 660 but on par with the 760, HOWEVER, the 7950 is much cheaper than a 760.

Thats nice but i cant buy in newegg.. 🙁 only in amazon...

I would go with 760 with it not being marginally under the 7950 but being a lot cheaper(419$ compared to 259$). But right now the 660 ti is under 200$ and is the one im considering because its so cheap right now and is about -10% from the 760. I figure i'll have to upgrade to another card later anyways and im on a budget so that's my mumbo. If you have the money I definately recommend the 760 over the 7950. If your going to pay the 7950 price just go with the gtx 770, its marginally better then the 7950.

For others who are looking for another answer other then "buy the 7950", which is more suitable to the average budget gamer like myself, I thought i'd add another comment. People still read these threads even though their answered.
