yeah i know :) but im not sure that 6gb is not enough .... how BF3 is such a big ram hog ? :)))))))))))))))) anyway ..... i will buy gpu first and then add rams 😛

i think about gtx 670 SOC version .. it will ahve same performance as gtx 680 ya ? nad will cost 80$ cheaper 😛

Hi.

I have i7 950 at stock speed, 8gb ram and a zotac gtx 680.

I can say that i get 40fps dips in bf3 on ultra settings, Especially when i play Rush for some reason.

And as some people above me say that "If you get 40 fps dips, just lower the graphics settings some".
That is bullshit im afraid, because you cant do that.

If i get 40 fps dips in ultra, with 99% gpu usage. And i lower the settings to lower settings, then i still get 40 fps dips with 60% gpu usage.

The design on this card is so stupid if you ask me. You cant get higher fps because the GPU has its own life and it decides the fps that is suitable for you.
40 fps dips are not suitable, for anyone except blind people that cant tell the difference between 40 fps and 80.

better average ofc :) he has same setup as me even 2 gb ram more .. and if gpu usage is on 99% then there is not ram or cpu bottlecnek :) we all know that ....

40 fps in not a big deal .. but on rush ? try to paly karkand maps like gulf of oman or sahrqi ...maybe you will get even 33-35 🙁

i thnik it's because of game ;/

Hah, this might not help at all but. I had an issue where my 6870 1g vram 4g DDR2 athlon 2 x3 couldn't even play it on lowest of low without getting frame dips to 20 constantly.

Opened up task manager and the problem was origin taking up 70% cpu....

Closed out of origin and everything was fine.

Maybe, I also disabled in game browser thing that origin has by default (the things a lag fest, try opening it and you'll see) gained me like 5 FPS

Also disabling motion blur if you can stand to live without it, I personally hate it so it was also a performance boost.

No harm in checking origins cpus usage in game though.

i don;t think that i7 950 will be used by origin to much :))) but i wil lchekc when i get gtx 670 or gtx 680 :)))

i don't use motion blur ... it's *** ... maybe use only on sp :)

It was explained to me by a few users on the forums that it was scanning my hard drive, I don't know how true this is but for it to suddenly randomly go from 2% to 70% cpu usage is pretty annoying.

When I was talking about origin in game I meant the browser (y'know, so you can google stuff) they use which is really really bad

When I was out of game origin (the process) was still lagging me really bad (I got 5 fps in minecraft lol)
