Hi guys. So i decided to unlock my gpu bios. So i went to GPUz and i exported my bios and unlocked it after that. So here is the tricky part , when i try to flash the bios it says something like "Hierarchy mismatch" and it cancels everything. So how ca I solve this? Any help is much appreciated

Sorry for the delay I bought the new civ V expansion and just spent the last 36 hours beating the game.

9.Type in nvflash --list (press enter)
This will then tell you what gpu(s) that you have installed on your motherboard.

10.Type in nvflash -i1 1.rom (press enter)

It will then say flashing Gpu and press Y to confirm, so press Y and the flashing will commence which takes a few seconds.

If you have a second gpu with 2.rom.

Type in nvflash -i2 2.rom (press enter)

It will then say flashing Gpu and press Y to confirm, so press Y and the flashing will commence which takes a few seconds.

Once this is done reboot the PC go into the bios and reset your boot so it boots from your hardrive with the Windows OS on.

Once you get into windows you can see from MSI afterburner or EVGA precision that the power target can be raised from 130 to 150.

When gaming the boost clock should be higher depending on your GPU.

I achieved around an increase of 30 on the core clock on boost alone on both GPU's which is very good.

It will differ for each person and each GPU(s), You can also try other peoples bios as long as iyts the same GPU as your own.

You can also modify the KGB.exe and tweak power settings for even more results but I wouldnt advise this unless you know what you are doing, I would just leave it at stock and use that for the time being.

So yes you would flash both at the same time using a bootable flash drive.

I tried it and it gives me a error. The ID mismatch happens every time which make no sense since it's the same bios from the same gpu I extracted with gpu-z. The ID on my gpu is 102 and on the modded bios is 103, how does that happen?

you may want to ask your question to these guys. I have read through the posts but they know that software somuch better and I cannot get my hands on an nvidia card to test anything.

that is weird with the modded bios 103. I think it is saffer to ask a few of these guys who actually have your card or more experience with your card. I think I could fix your issue but I do not want to take any chances and the ghuys over there seem to solve problems really quicklly. I would even pm the crazynutz guy if needed. also have you extracted your bios using nvflash, you should be able to then.

your card is too nice to not send you to the best equipped to answer your question.

I logged in and it won't let me post on that thread for some reason. You said you could fix my problem, tell me how you think it could be resolved. If it doesn't work I'll quit trying. I will get a 2560x1080 screen and my 690 could handle everything with 60fps on it and next year when the witcher 3 comes out and it can't run it at 60fps I'll just build a whole new pc and experiment on my old one to learn how everything works and if it dies, who cares.
