GTX 690 Vs 1050Tİ

I have found gtx690 for 190 dollar and gtx 1050 ti is 175 dollar,which one that ı should buy?

The 690, while getting dated at this point, is a substantially stronger card vs a 1050TI
It competes with &/or betters cards like 980's or 1060 (6GB).
There's not even a VRAM debate either, as the 690 is also equipped with 4GB VRAM.

Compared to a 1050TI, the 690 wins hands-down. The biggest concern is going to be power draw. a 690 is a 300W TDP card vs the 1050TI at 75W.


Ideally I'd suggest a GTX 1060 (6GB), but you'd need to wait prices to normalize a bit..... even then, you'd still need to pay ~$250.

A 690 is a pretty compelling offering if you have a quality PSU to power it.

If I'm not mistaken the GTX 690 is a dual GPU solution in 1 card. which means it technically is 2 cards in SLI. This means it only has 2GB of vram. Also it is subject to SLI scaling issues. Before I made the choice I'd look into the exact games I intended to play. But if I had to make the call now, I'd take the 1050ti

The 690 was a bit of an strange card for a "dual GPU" though. Prior to it, the single card performance of any dual-GPU card suffered in favour of a stronger SLI-esque gain.

The 690 changed that. The 690, when both GPU's could be utilized rivaled SLI 680's (I think something like 95% of the performance). When only a single GPU could be utilized, it still bested a single 680.

Even on the single card performance, the 690 > 680. A 680 is still > 1050TI in most cases. The VRAM debate does become a little more relevant there though.

If gtx1050ti is new I would go for it even if it's weaker.
